About the Erasmus+ Incoming Staff Mobility Program

The Erasmus+ Incoming Staff Mobility program offers academic and administrative staff working at higher education institutions in Europe the opportunity to teach or receive training at a partner university or institution in another European country for a short period. The program aims to enhance participants’ professional skills, promote the sharing of best practices, and expand international cooperation networks.

Types of Mobility

  • Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA):
    • Academic staff can teach at a partner university.
    • At least 8 hours of teaching is required.
    • The mobility period is usually a minimum of 2 working days, most commonly 5 working days.
    • The teaching program should be related to the applicant’s area of expertise.
  • Staff Mobility for Training (STT):
    • Both academic and administrative staff can participate in training, job shadowing, workshops, seminars, or short-term internships at a partner institution.
    • The training program should aim for professional development and the sharing of best practices.
    • The program is generally short-term (minimum 2 working days, most commonly 5 working days).

Application Process

  • Applicants should contact their university’s Erasmus Office or departmental/faculty coordinators.
  • Required documents:
    • Application form
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    • Copy of passport
    • Invitation/acceptance letter from the host institution
    • Teaching or Training Agreement (signed by both institutions)
    • Language proficiency certificate (if required)
  • Applications are evaluated according to the calendar and quotas determined by each institution.

Before and After Mobility

  • Before mobility, the acceptance letter and signed agreements must be submitted to the relevant offices.
  • After mobility, a certificate of attendance and an activity report must be provided.
  • Participants receive financial support for travel and daily expenses within the scope of the Erasmus+ program; the amount and payment conditions may vary by university.
