Staff Mobility for Teaching | Erasmus

Staff Mobility for Training is an Erasmus+ activity that enables academic or administrative staff employed at a higher education institution in Turkey holding an ECHE (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education) to receive training at a higher education institution or eligible organization in a Partner Country (countries not associated with the Programme). Likewise, staff from Partner Countries can receive training in Turkey.

Scope of Activity:

  • Staff may participate in job shadowing, observation, or training programs related to their current professional duties.
  • Conference participation is not considered an eligible activity under this mobility
  • The training program should aim to enhance the staff member’s professional skills relevant to their job.

Duration:

  • Staff training mobility must last at least 5 consecutive working days and can be up to 2 months, excluding travel days.
  • Grant support is typically provided for a maximum of 5 days
  • Mobilities shorter than 5 days are considered invalid and no grant is paid.

Grant and Travel Support:

  • Staff receive a daily grant and travel support based on the duration and distance of the mobility.
  • Travel support is calculated using the European Commission’s distance calculator
  • Staff may also participate without receiving a grant (“zero grant” mobility)

Application and Evaluation:

  • Applications are accepted within the dates announced by the institution.
  • Both academic and administrative staff are eligible to apply.
  • Selection is carried out according to application criteria and a scoring system

Important Notes:

  • The training experience should contribute to the staff member’s professional development.
  • General office work or routine duties are not considered eligible activities
  • Training in areas such as digital skills, artificial intelligence, and data analytics may be prioritized.
